I generally enjoy novellas and when a story or a series offers more, and what interested me most with the Shatter Me series is that there are plenty of stories told between each main novel that add more and give the readers more to this already interesting and colorful world.

Juliette escaped The Reestablishment after seducing and … shooting Warner.
Warner is put in a difficult position where he must do everything to keep his people in check and stop a rebellion from breaking out, but his priorities have shifted – he wants Juliette back at all cost and he wants to dispose of the people who helped her escape. When the Supreme Commander returns, it becomes clear that his plans for Juliette are quite different and Warner wants to stop him at all cost.
What I liked about this book: WARNER!!!!!! WARNER IS EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!! Yes, he makes a very conflicting first impression when we initially meet him in Shatter Me but trust me when I say this – he is the best character in this entire series and his actions and backstory are everything!!! I love Warner so much and this was the best novella out of them all and I highly recommend it.
A quote: 26 letters are all I need. I can stitch them together to create oceans and ecosystems. I can fit them together to form planets and solar systems. I can use letters to construct skyscrapers and metropolitan cities populated by people, places, things, and ideas that are more real to me than these 4 walls.
I need nothing but letters to live. Without them I would not exist.
Because these words I write down are the only proof I have that I’m still alive.”
